About Us

Moovin Zpotz Speckle Park Ranch

We have owned and operated a commercial cattle ranch near Frenchman Butte, Saskatchewan since 1990.

Merl owned an Appaloosa stud horse named 'Jack' for many years and could do anything and go anywhere with him. In fact people would ask if 'Jack' was available to help move their cattle.

I grew up wanting to own a 'Plantation of Dalmatians' and was able to purchased my first Dalmatian in 1998. She was liver (redish-brown) spoted and all 'Keela' wanted was for you to love her, which was eazy to do.

In 1992 our daughter, Megan, joined us and with all the gifts she received the 'Dalmatian Plantation' grew. Keela also added to this by producing two 'kids' of her own - 'Sawyer' & 'Patch'.

In 2003, Merl's brother, Darnell, asked if we would be intrested in purchasing a few Speckle Park from Dale & Lynda Chibri and Roland Chibri.

After having a speckled horse, speckled dogs and all those speckled toys it only seems right to have speckled cows.

So we purchased a couple heifers, a bull and a bred heifer. Darnell and his wife, also purchased a couple of heifers at this time. They own Cold Creek Cattle Company and we look after both herds.

It was different to see zpotz in the pasture, but you always knew if they were missing when you went to check on them.

We are located 75km North East of Lloydminster, AB/SK near the Frenchman Butte Historical Site. Follow the map to find us at the X.

We would love to help you get to know this new and exciting cattle breed.
